Mr. Adams is a LEED Accredited Professional through the U.S. Green Building Council, a leading national non-profit coalition on green building, and is considered an expert in sustainable structural design. He has extensively studied and applied environmentally sound building design to the firm's wide range of residential, commercial, and historic projects. Some of his continuing education studies include the evaluation of the energy use of a given design. He has also studied how to effectively generate electricity utilizing the sun (photovoltaics), wind and water as well as best sustainable construction practices such as straw bale and rammed earth.

Prior to founding Earth and Sky Architecture in 2000, Mr. Adam's spent over a decade at Richmond Homes where he was instrumental in establishing standards to streamline building permit submittals at eleven Denver Metro area building departments. His in-depth knowledge of standard building practices gives him a solid base to incorporate new methods effectively.

While in graduate school at University of Colorado at Denver, Paul was a leader among his peers serving as president of the American Institute of Architecture Students. He was also a finalist in the Walter Wagner Education Forum, a national educational award for architecture.
